Frequently Asked Questions
What is Grief?
Grief is a strong emotion that one feels after the death of someone close to them. Some experience numbness and tend to push the outside world away and become unable to continue everyday duties.
What services are offered?
We currently offer an outlet in a support group setting, where you can discuss your feelings and emotions in a way of venting without judgment. We also offer different books to read and exercises to help relieve bottled grief and coach a healthy way of getting back to doing everyday tasks.
Is there a fee to attend a meeting?
Absolutely not! There is no fee to attend meetings/outings.
How old do you have to be to attend a meeting?
There is no age requirement. Grief doesn't discriminate and neither does COA.
How often are the meetings/outings?
Meetings are usually held every 3rd Saturday of the month unless otherwise mentioned. Check out our events page for more details.
Are the meetings only for people who are grieving the death of a parent?
Of course not! We offer support to anyone grieving the loss of a significant person in their life.
